HTA Approves First UK Womb Transplant by Imperial College and Oxford University Hospitals

The first womb transplant in the UK has taken place, co-led by surgeons at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) NHS Foundation Trust, with approval from the Human Tissue Authority (HTA).

UK conviction for human trafficking organ removal offence

The Human Tissue Authority (HTA) welcomes the verdict reached in the trial today. This was a crime where an individual was trafficked to the UK for the purpose of organ removal and transplantation.
