Consultation: review of Code of Practice F, part two

The Organ and Tissue Donation (Deemed Consent) Act (Northern Ireland) 2022 was passed by the Northern Ireland Assembly in February 2022 and received Royal Assent on 30 March 2022. The Act is due to come into effect in Northern Ireland (NI) in Spring 2023. It will amend the interpretation of ‘appropriate consent’ as set out in the Human Tissue Act 2004 for NI and introduce an ‘opt-out’ or deemed consent system for deceased organ and tissue donation.

HTA announces licence fees for 2022/23

Today the Human Tissue Authority (HTA) has published licence fee levels for the 2022/23 business year. 

 

Having held license fees at 2020/21 levels for the current business year the HTA Board have approved an increase of 2% on the current fee levels.  This increase will take effect from 1 April 2022 on the previous year’s fees. Read the full sector breakdowns.
